SA Shark Conservancy, the Shark Lab

The SA Shark Conservancy is an NGO committed to the conservation & protection of sharks & the oceans. The SASC Shark Lab, based in the Old Harbour of the Old Harbour Museum, is home to some of South Africa’s most charismatic small shark species – and houses our team of scientists, students & interns.

The Shark Lab is open to the Public for tours; however, as we are often in the field & away from the lab, we encourage you to call in advance to avoid disappointment.  Group & school bookings must be made in advance.

Entry is free, but donations to support our research are welcome.
