Why raw food?
This is how our dogs are genetically designed to eat. Have you ever seen a wolf in the wild cooking his food or eating grain? The preservatives, fillers and other questionable ingredients found in so called high end dry dog food are not what your pet should be eating.
Benefits to you and your pet:
Many people are concerned about the dangers of bacteria and parasites when feeding raw food to pets. Remember, dogs are able to cope with bacteria found in carrion and meat that has been buried for long periods. Their digestive systems are very short and very acidic, so food moves through their stomach and intestines very quickly, before bacteria has a chance to proliferate or cause problems.
Whats in it?
Raw Gold is a premium raw food, made with fresh and wholesome ingredients. Our food contains 0% grain and gluten, and is free of colourants and preservatives. Our main source of protein is free range chicken (chicken protein is of exceptional quality and supplies all the essential fatty acids dogs need for a healthy life), collected directly from the farm and certified free of growth hormones, growth stimulants and routine antibiotics. Our vegetables are sourced from top quality vegetable farms and collected daily, as the vegetables come in from the fields. We have a vitamin and mineral premix, designed especially for us by an animal nutritionist, that we add to our food to ensure that Raw Gold is a complete, healthy and optimal food for your wolf in dogs clothing.
Are there any pets that should not eat raw?
Some Dalmatians are prone to urinary crystals and need to steer clear of diets with high levels of purines. Raw Gold has low to moderate levels of purines, but caution must be exercised when feeding Raw Gold to dogs prone to stone forming. Dogs or cats suffering from Pancreatitis, liver or kidney problems may not be suited to a high protein / fairly high phosphorus diet.
