Activities

The Champagne Air and Mediterranean climate in Hermanus offers year-round appeal. There is always something to do here no matter what time of the year it is. The Hermanus Cliff path is recognized as one of the best land based whale watching spots in the world. During whale season. (July to December) you can spot whales by land sea or air.

Shark Cage diving tours are also very popular and Sea Kayaking tours are offered from the Old Harbour in town. Two tidal pools are located very close to the hotel and pristine white beaches with great swimming and surfing in the Indian Ocean are a few minutes walk or drive away. There is a 27-hole, world class golf course in Hermanus and easy access to mountain hikes or gentle walks through the unique Fynbos in the Nature Reserve. Discover over 1600 different plant species and over 100 recorded bird species in the diverse areas of Fynbos that surrounds the town.

The Hemel-en-Aarde Valley is a wine lover’s delight. With over 14 wine estates along the R320 the Hermanus wine route never fails to delight and wine tasting and lunches are a short drive away.
