Lawton Roberts is a gifted designer and artist with an acute eye and attention to detail. Lawton upcycles shells and transforms them into trendy mirrors and other functional art pieces. His exquisite pearly-mirrors are a true labour of love when you consider that each tile needs four cuts to be removed from the shell and then a further four cuts or more to get it to the desired size. A large mosaic mirror can take up to 32 days to manufacture with the frame consisting of over 2000 hand cut tiles. You can view Lawton’s works by appointment only. Lawton Roberts – functional style
